George Pratt at the Illustration Academy did an amazing impromptu demo (at my desk! OMG!) of Bert Silverman's watercolor technique, in which the whole studio swarmed around with in about 5 seconds of the demo comensing. of course I was waving my arms like a madman behind his back, comunicating some crazy magic was about to happen, haha. it was pretty amazing, it was the technique George used for his incredible graphic novel, Enemy Ace: War Idyll. Well, this little experiment of mine was not so breath-taking. I was holding my breath most of teh time. I cant imagine doing a whole graphic novel this way! it took me 3 hours and this is only 4"x4.5"!!!... But I did enjoy it, I dont think I let the medium really do its thing, maybe I should try a bigger painting next time. Anyway, George Pratt, your my hero (I LOVE YOU!!!)..
