I really wanted to encorporate my the photos I've taken while on the road with The Diamond Center other than just the web for quite a while. I am also really interested in magazine design and would absolutely love to be an art director one day. So I recently created a small 6 page zine, with no sort of binding necessary. You'll see why after a few pictures. I developed a typeface for the headlines, that looks like a lot of other typefaces, but who cares, this ones mine, and it will be downloadable soon as a working font!
Behold: Numero Uno.
I wanted this to be a small behind the scenes look at us on the road, hanging out, etc. I found that a photograph has to be really good to work as a duotone image in cyan because of the extremely small value range of a picture when converted from black and white, to cyan and white. So, many pictures I had laid out could not make the cut.The zine unfolds and becomes an 11"x17" poster on the other side. I wanted it to look like a poncho, kind of.... I dunno.... Anyways....
I actually really enjoy the unfolded zine layout / back of the poster the most. Cyan ink on Mohawk cream 20lb paper. Numero Dos and NumeroTres are on there way!
Will this be available to the public? Not sure. But hope you like!
